AKM Architects combined new construction with an existing, historic warehouse to create 159 apartments. The new building maintains the existing streetwall to be contiguous with neighboring structures. The richly detailed new facades include iron spot seeded bricks with custom coursework and cast stone accents. A landscaped court allows natural light into public corridors, while a plank and bearing wall structural system facilitates efficient apartments with expansive Hudson River views.
