This conversion and addition is in the rapidly changing Long Island City neighborhood. An existing concrete office building is being repurposed as a 138 unit rental building. Construction is well underway with the first phase of occupancy scheduled for the second half of 2015.

The photo shows scaffolding at the extensive alterations to the rear façade to provide light and air to the Queens-facing units. The street façade was completely replaced and designed to maximize the views of the Manhattan skyline. This is the second AKM project in the neighborhood.
